ABSTRACT
1. Sonographic findings of 37 patients with hepatic metastases were reviewed, and the results were as follows;a. The most common sonographic pattern was 23 cases(62%) of echogenic masses, and was followed by echofree masses(5 cases:13.5%), "Bull's eye" pattern(5 cases:13.5%) and others(4 cases:11%). b. Among stomach cancer, echogenicmasses were found in 12 cases(60%), and oat cell carcinoma showed typical "Bull's-eye" pattern in all 3 cases. 2.Liver scan showed almost normal finding in 2 cases and suspicious cold area in 1 case, in whom echogenic masseswere found by sonography. 3. Sonography revealed details of masses and changes of surrounding organs. 4. It seemsthat there is no correlation between sonographic patterns and cell types of primary tumor.
