ABSTRACT
Neutropenic enterocolitis is a necrotizing inflammatory bowel disease, usually involving cecum and/or terminalileum. It is rarely found in severely neutropenic patients, most frequently those with acute leukemia undergoingchemotherapy. We report three cases of neutropenic enterocolitis demonstrating characteristic sonography features. There was diffuse thickening of bowel wall in the cecum and ascending colon, jejunum or terminal ileum, with thickhyper-echoic inner layer and relatively thin hypo-echoic outer layer.
