Ultrasound scanning of the intrapancreatic segment of the common bile duct is difficult. The authors wish to present a new sonographic guide, "moustache sig", consisted of infraduodenal common bile duct forming one limb of the moustache and the hepatic artery forming the other. Using this sign as a guied, the distal common bile duct was visualized in all the 113 patients. Moustache sign is considered practically useful as a gride in the sonographic visualization of the intrapancreatic segment of the common bile duct.
