ABSTRACT

Herniation of the ovary can occur in female infants. The authors report a case of an inguinal ovary in a 5-month-old child, in which the ovary appered as a mixed echogenic mass at the left inguinal area. The ovary was incarcerated with resultant hemorrhagic necrosis.
