Ultrasound findings of phytobezoar in small intestine

ABSTRACT
Three cases of phytobezoar of the small intestine diagnosed preoperatively by ultrasound are presented. Phytobezoar was observed as an intraluminal mass with an echogenic are 0.5-1cm thick. casting a clear acoustic shadow. Intestinal juice within the distended proximal bowel passed into the distal bowel lumen around the shadowing mass.
