ABSTRACT
In this review, we address the analysis of different types of malignant focal liver lesions (FLLs) by contrast enhanced ultrasound (CEUS). Specific enhancing patterns of hepatocellular carcinoma, cholangiocarcinoma, and metastases will be discussed and exemplified with images. In addition, we will address the use of CEUS in portal vein malignant thrombosis. The advantages and limitations of CEUS in the analysis of malignant FLLs will also be discussed.
