ABSTRACT
Sonographic examination of the gastrointestinal tract is difficult due to artifact from intraluminal air. In the past, sonography was useless to examine the gastrointestinal tract. But nowadays sonographic examination of the gastrointestinal tract is possible with the development of high resolution scanner and water-ingestion method. Sonography is also useful to detect the gastric lesion and to decide the staging of gastric tumor. The purpose of this pictorial essay is to illustrate the spectrum of sonographic findings of gastric lesions.
